Thank you to my sister for gifting me with my new favorite game. And it's a movie game to boot! All hail the supremely cute renderings of "Movie Geek." Want to chuckle alongside a cartoonish red rose-lapelled Marlon Brando in "The Godfather" (1972)? Cue "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse." Or a tough-nut archer goddess called Katniss Everdeen, played by super-cool Jennifer Lawrence, in the dystopian thriller "The Hunger Games" (2012)?

I swear this game was made for me. It blends an eclectic group of "older" Hollywood movie stars with "newer." How fun. But, and most importantly, the trivia questions are actually quite good. I like how, if answering the actor and movie correctly, there's a second tier of "higher level" questions for the player. Hmmm. For this cinephile, who's always trying to keep her "movie memory" nice and limber, it's a good stretch. Dare I say I was impressed with myself for getting about 90% of the answers correct? Patting myself on the back moment!

My sister went through all 50 cards (aka the whole box) with me, deciding well beforehand that this was just going to be "a game for you." I believe she said something to the effect of "No, this game's all you. I'm not even going to bother. But the cards are cute. It'll be fun to go through ALL of them with you, capture you in your element."

And so our "Friday Facetime Game Night" was a true blast. I breezed through those cinny-cards a la Johnny Depp in "Edward Scissorhands" (1990), displaying all that awe-inspiring handiwork while trimming those neighborhood hedges and grooming those adorable lil' dogs. Nothing to it!

But, and I hesitate to say this as I really do love this game, I noticed three GLARING movie star omissions. Where was Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" (1968), Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), and Al Pacino in "Scarface" (1983)?! For sure these renderings would have been equally cute, and the actors in these roles are so iconic. Sing it, Babs! "People. People who need people." That would be my only negative criticism.

Maybe a "Movie Geek 2.0" is in the works? I hope so. All in all, if you like games, movie trivia, and like to smile, order your "Movie Geek" box. It's a heartwarming treasure. Just like stylishly curt, sunglass-donning Meryl Streep in "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006) and soon-to-be "The Devil Wears Prada 2" this May, "That's all."

This post is dedicated to my cinephile sister. Thank you for sharing so many fun movies with me over the years. And I will never forget that nun movie. Forever grateful and smiling.
