HOLA AMIGOS!

The%20Way%20We%20Were%20(2)_edited.jpg

Let's have some old-timey fun.  Chock full of dusty pomp and circumstance, the below "ditties" sing of a magnificent bygone era.  Let's lift our glass of pink champagne and serenade:  luxurious Trans-Atlantic ocean liners, bunny-ear TV antennae, and big chunky rotary phones!  Oh, and if you want to leave me a comment, or celebrate your birthday, we can do that, too!

MISCELLANEA FROM THE MAURITANIA
Latest update from sea:  5:46pm

Nicknamed "The Maury," The Mauritania was once the world's largest ocean liner.  Its maiden voyage was in 1907, and it ran back and forth between Europe and America until 1934.  It was big, fast, and luxurious.  Think white gloves, crisp sheets, and NO iceberg disaster a la the Titanic.

  • Recent Rave - "Somewhere In Time" (1980).  Watched this movie as a girl, and have LOVED rediscovering it as an adult.  The tender beauty of both Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour is hypnotizing.  "Like a crystal teardrop held up to the sun."  Also LOVE following Jane Seymour on Instagram.  She's fun and beautiful!

  • Have become a fan of "Fracture."  Recently had two Flickside "star bio" cover photos converted to their new glass frames.  Who were the stars?  Robert Redford and Natalie Wood.  I am full of joy every time I look over and see these two beautiful stars with my name of Joslyn Jay right below.  Definitely welcome additions to my white walls.  What publishing LOVE!

WHAT'S MY LINE?

Dazzle your family and friends by knowing who said the below vintage line, and in what movie, and in what year.  Answer to be revealed in next update.

"I didn't bring your breakfast because you didn't eat your din-din."

ANSWER:  Diva Bette Davis says this memorable line in "What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?" in 1962.  Talk about sibling rivalry and revenge.  Poor Joan Crawford.  This film is a scary nail-biter!
